The "Fair of Religious Tourism, Pilgrimage and the spiritual paths" promotes the meeting between the entities(buyers, who offer Italian and Apulian, regional and local administrators, managers of museums, cultural heritage, places of worship, etc.. ) that for various reasons are the demand and supply of a tourism segment that moves millions of people every year.
The event will be "traveling" to allow participants to stay together for a few days away from the cares of everyday life, to meet and discuss: individuals from various countries around the world (16 countries in the edition 2010) discovered the pleasure to truly immerse themselves in the contemplation of the main places of true devotion in Puglia: monasteries, shrines, caves, abbeys, museums, and places of worship representing more than a thousand years, authentic, and the history of the Pilgrimage and spiritual paths.
A unique experience, incorporating convivial moments, managed by Slow Food, which combine the pleasure of feasting know with the representation of an area extraordinarily rich in food and wine excellence.
The route is rich and engaging, passing by beautiful villages of Ascoli Satriano and Bovino on the Apennines, through the extraordinary art cities of Lucera, immersing in the quiet of the monasteries of Serracapriola and San Marco in Lamis, retracing footsteps of Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo, down the Gargano to reach first the extraordinary city of Manfredonia and then the Basilica of San Nicola in Bari
For the second edition of the Fair, it was decided to collect and raise the challenge successfully initiated last year and launched on October 26 a large new exhibition space at the Fiera di Foggia. The place of exchange par excellence, not only will allow operators to expose their excellence, but to participate in the B2B meetings with national and international demand.
The international workshop will be held at the Big Shrine designed by Renzo Piano to celebrate the holiness of Padre Pio. Meet Oct. 28 in San Giovanni Rotondo.
